Wonderful post. For 21 years I played music or video clips when students entered the classroom. Actually recall rewinding cassette tapes to accomplish the mission.
Have you used Textmapping to get students to visualise the written text http://www.textmapping.org/ ? Might be a useful addition to visualising their writing? Best, Sandra
